چکیده

In this paper, an analysis of a target location estimation system using the best linear unbiased estimator (BLUE) for high performance radar systems is presented. In synthetic environments, we are here concerned with three key elements of radar system modeling, which makes radar systems operates accurately in strategic situation in virtual ground. Radar Cross Section (RCS) modeling is used to determine the actual amount of electromagnetic waves that are reflected from a tactical object. Pattern Propagation Factor (PPF) is an attenuation coefficient of the radar equation that contains the reflection from the surface of the earth, the diffraction, the refraction and scattering by the atmospheric environment. Clutter is the unwanted echoes of electronic systems. For the data fusion of output results from radar detection in synthetic environment, BLUE is used and compared with the mean values of each simulation results. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the radar system. Keywords—Best linear unbiased estimator (BLUE) , data fusion, radar system modeling, target location estimation

A Soft-Input Soft-Output Target Detection Algorithm for Passive Radar

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel scheme for multi-static passive radar processing, based on soft-input soft-output processing and Bayesian sparse estimation. In this scheme, each receiver estimates the probability of target presence based on its received signal and the prior information received from a central processor. The resulting posterior target probabilities are transmitted to the c...

Efficiency of Target Location Scenarios in the Multi-Transmitter Multi-Receiver Passive Radar

Multi-transmitter multi-receiver passive radar, which locates target in the surveillance area by the reflected signals of the available opportunistic transmitter from the target, is of interest in many applications. In this paper, we investigate different signal processing scenarios in multi-transmitter multi-receiver passive radar. These scenarios include decentralized processing of reference ...

Extending the Radar Dynamic Range using Adaptive Pulse Compression

The matched filter in the radar receiver is only adapted to the transmitted signal version and its output will be wasted due to non-matching with the received signal from the environment. The sidelobes amplitude of the matched filter output in pulse compression radars are dependent on the transmitted coded waveforms that extended as much as the length of the code on both sides of the target loc...

Adaptive Fusion of Inertial Navigation System and Tracking Radar Data

Against the range-dependent accuracy of the tracking radar measurements including range, elevation and bearing angles, a new hybrid adaptive Kalman filter is proposed to enhance the performance of the radar aided strapdown inertial navigation system (INS/Radar). This filter involves the concept of residual-based adaptive estimation and adaptive fading Kalman filter and tunes dynamically the fil...

Ziv - Zakai Lower Bound on Target Localization Estimation in MIMO Radar Systems

This paper presents the derivation of the Ziv-Zakai bound (ZZB) for the localization problem in a MIMO radar system. The target is positioned in the near-field of a network of radars of arbitrary geometry. The radars have ideal mutual time and phase synchronization. The target location is estimated by coherent processing exploiting the amplitude and phase information between pairs of radars. An...
